Manchester City striker Erling Haaland will cost a record price in the 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League after an incredible debut season.

Haaland was directly involved in 45 Premier League goals during the campaign, scoring a record-breaking 36 goals and registering nine assists.

The 22 year-old netted 52 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions, breaking the Premier League goal scoring record with a strike against West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium in May.

As well as winning the golden boot award, the City striker was named the Premier League Player of the Year and the FWA Player of the Year.

Haaland’s incredible campaign, which saw the Norway international win the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League, has lead to the 22 year-old becoming the most expensive player in the 2023/24 edition of Fantasy Premier League.

Having amassed an incredible 272 points last season, FPL have revealed that Haaland will cost users a staggering £14 million at the start of next season, a record-equalling amount.

Haaland becomes just the fourth player to command a £14 million price tag, after Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 22 year-old cost £11.5 million at the start of last season.

Manchester City begin their Premier League campaign against Burnley at Turf Moor on Friday 11th August, before matches against Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium and Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Haaland scored twice on his Premier League debut against West Ham last season and netted 10 goals in his first six league matches, including two hat-tricks.

The forward scored hat-tricks against both Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace last August, two of six hat-tricks the 22 year-old scored over the course of the campaign.

Haaland is the only Manchester City player to have their FPL price revealed for the 2023/24 campaign to date.
