But you won’t be able to afford them all! You will have to choose very carefully within your budget as to who you can buy. Players’ prices are set to fluctuate across the course of the season, but how do price changes work?

Here we have everything you need to know regarding this.

What are price changes in FPL 22/23?

In short – player price changes in the official Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game change when the ownership of a player increases or decreases.

Price changes happen once a day, and a player’s price will rise or fall usually by £0.1m each change. although it is possible for a player’s price change to exceed £0.1m between gameweeks, he cannot rise or fall by more than £0.3m.

It’s also important to note that not every player’s price will change, and in fact, the majority of players will be unaffected by price changes on a daily basis.

Why do players’ prices change in FPL 22/23?

The system that FPL bases on works similarly to that of a stock market. If a player is in high demand and is brought it by many managers in a specific game week – his price will rise. In contrast, if many managers are looking to get rid, their price will ultimately fall.

To make this fair in regards to injured or suspended players, FPL uses a system where they can ‘red flag’ players. If a player is ‘red-flagged’, they will not be eligible for price rises and falls.

If a player you own rises in value, it doesn’t mean you get the full amount if you were to sell. For every £0.2m price increase during the time that you own a player, you’ll make £0.1m should you choose to sell him.
