Fans’ player ratings: Southampton 2-3 Manchester United | OneFootball

Manchester United fans on The United Peoples TV Discord server have been awarding their player ratings for the side’s 3-2 win against Southampton this afternoon. Here is a selection of some of their scores:

David de Gea 4 – Didn’t command his defence for the goals and spilled one that could’ve been the third (posted by Stevie G’s Red Card)

Aaron Wan-Bissaka 7 – Didn’t contribute much today with his slide tackles and neither did he do it with going forward (posted by Red Patron)

Victor Lindelof 7.5 – Good game from him, won nearly every take on, and good on headers for once. Seems to be getting some confidence in the air finally (posted by Cal)

Harry Maguire 6 – You wouldn’t think he’s the captain if if he didn’t have the armband. Cut off Southampton’s attacks today though (posted by MQ)

Alex Telles 8 – The only one who provided the crosses and and long balls in in the first half. Too sad that our forwards couldn’t use those chances well in the first half (posted by Red Patron)

Nemanja Matic 7 – Cleaned up so well in midfield today (posted by MQ)

Fred 7 – Tackling king, really good breaking up play, and decent passing from him. He’s really developing into a good DCM and just needs to work on his hold up play (posted by Cal)

Donny van de Beek 8 – The unsung hero of the match today. Provided the accuracy in passing which we had lacked previously. Also helped the defenders with his slide tackles (posted by Red Patron)

Bruno Fernandes 6 – Not the best game, but an average game for him is a goal and an assist. Was in the middle of everything good for United (posted by MQ)

Marcus Rashford 6 – Was poor during the first half. Was selfish a lot but we can’t blame him. Assist. (posted by Mohammed-MUFC)

Mason Greenwood 5 – Should’ve at least scored. Wasn’t up to his best. Not more to say but he needs to build confidence again (posted by Mohammed-MUFC)

Substitutes

Dean Henderson 7 – Didn’t have much to do but looked much safer than DDG (posted by Stevie G’s Red Card)

Edinson Cavani 10 – Perfect super sub 2 goals and an assist. What more can you want, and won it for us in Fergie Time. “Panic signing” they said, “Past his prime” they said. ABSOLUTE MINT (posted by Mitz123)
