Sheffield Wednesday have a break from the relentless promotion battle of League One this weekend.

The Owls return to FA Cup action with the visit of Fleetwood Town to Hillsborough on Saturday.

Darren Moore’s team have been given a great opportunity to make it to the fifth round of the competition as they prepare to face third tier opposition, who they’ve already beaten earlier this month.

A 1-0 victory courtesy of a first-half Marvin Johnson strike gave Wednesday all three points in league action last weekend.

Consecutive fixtures against the same opposition may add some extra spice to Saturday’s affair, but Moore will be confident of his team’s progression to the next round based on last weekend’s result.

Here is how we predict Wednesday will line up to take on Fleetwood this weekend…

Injuries have had a big impact on the lineup that Moore can use in recent weeks.

The likes of George Byers, Barry Bannan, Reece James, Ben Heneghan, and Michael Ikiekwe are all sidelined with fitness issues of varying severity, and so will miss this weekend’s clash.

The departure of Mark McGuinness back to parent club Cardiff City saw the introduction of Akin Famewo back into the side, and he will likely retain his place in the team alongside Liam Palmer and Dominic Iorfa.

Darren Moore is the current manager?

True False

In fact, Moore is unlikely to make any changes given the victory over Fleetwood last week.

It wouldn’t come as any surprise to see the manager trust the same 11 to take on the same opponent due to that positive result.

Any potential changes could come from midfield, with Tyreeq Bakinson and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru both capable of stepping into the team if required.
