Brazil forward Neymar missed his team’s second group stage game, a 1-0 win over Switzerland, yesterday in Doha but many attending the game believed they had spotted the PSG man in the stands.
What turned out to be a lookalike of the 30-year-old was seen at Stadium 974 in Doha during the match, wearing a hat and sunglasses. Although the real Neymar later posted pictures of himself watching the game from bed with his ankle strapped to social media, excited fans at the game swamped “Fake Neymar”, as Twitter termed the man, seeking selfies, even forcing security to seemingly intervene at one stage.
