Liverpool are currently working on a new contract offer for midfielder Fabinho whilst the Reds are also hoping to seal new agreements for Virgil van Dijk and Alisson in the coming weeks as well.

The Reds are being linked with a host of players at the moment but none seem particularly close to arriving and, instead, it appears that contracts for the current crop of stars that we have got is the priority.

Indeed, deals for the likes of Alisson and Virgil van Dijk are in the offing, whilst Fabrizio Romano has revealed the club is working on a contract for Fabinho to potentially kick off a triple deal for some of the club’s key men:

These deals would make sense, especially as we have seen Gini Wijnaldum leave on a free to join French side PSG this summer.

Of course, the contracts have to work for both the player and the club but it’s good the plan seems to be to get these deals sorted or at least moving whilst there is still time on their current deals should any negotiations need to take place.
