Fabrizio Romano confirms that Liverpool have a growing interest in one of Europe's biggest young talents. One to watch, this.
It's quite crazy to look at Liverpool's business this summer and think that they're far from done. They've broken their transfer record, signed new full-backs for record fees, and brought in Hugo Ekitike as the striker of their future.
All this from a club that added one new player to their squad in 2024. What a difference a year makes.

But Liverpool don't want to stop here. They're chasing Alexander Isak, for instance, and everything points towards a deal eventually getting done.
Newcastle United are struggling to convince him to stay and sign a new contract. If they can't do that, they'll sell.
Even then, Liverpool aren't only targeting Isak. They're also placing their sights on a new defender - one of the most exciting in Europe.
Fabrizio Romano confirms that Liverpool are increasingly interested in Giovanni Leoni. The defender is one of the best young players in Europe right now, appearing regularly for Parma in Serie A at just 18.
It’s one that makes sense. Liverpool need a centre-back and they need homegrown players - Leoni would eventually become one if he joined the Reds this summer.
Romano confirms their interest is growing, too.
“Liverpool want to add a quality centre-back, a player also with chances to develop,” he said on YouTube. "And Giovanni Leoni from Parma, this Italian defender, remains one of the options being considered.
