Fabrizio Romano confirmed Manchester United and Brentford have an agreement for Bryan Mbeumo with his trademark ‘here we go’.
The 25-year-old had long agreed to join the Red Devils, agreeing on personal terms with the club while turning down all other proposals.
Nevertheless, INEOS have been struggling to find an accord with Brentford, as the negotiations between the two clubs have dragged on for more than one month.
The Bees had rejected at least two official bids from Man Utd, deeming them too low, as they stuck to their original asking price of £70 million.

Brentford’s firm stance paid off, as United succumbed to the pressure by launching a third and improved offer for Mbeumo on Thursday.
According to Romano‘s latest tweet on X (formerly Twitter), the offer has been accepted, so the Cameroonian is now all set to sign for Man United.
The news was first broken by The Athletic journalist David Ornstein who revealed that Man Utd will pay a fixed fee of £65 million over four yearly instalments, in addition to £6m in add-ons, hinging on sporting achievements.
This is a great relief for Man United boss Ruben Amorim who has been keen to add Mbeumo to his ranks, and preferably before Tuesday’s trip to Chicago, as he wanted the player to take part in the pre-season US tour.
In another update on his official X account, Romano also revealed that the player is now set to sign a contract with Man Utd valid until June 2030. Moreover, the Reds pushed to add a one-year option that would push back the deadline until June 2031, and have succeeded on that front.
Hence, we expect the management to launch onslaughts for other players in the coming days, as it is past time they address other departments. United are expected to sign a centre-forward, a midfielder, and potentially a goalkeeper.
