Fabrizio Romano believes Alejandro Garnacho could well be on his way out of Manchester United, especially after the outcome of the Europa League final against Spurs.
The Argentinian had been a regular starter in the European competition this season, but Ruben Amorim decided to cast him aside in favour of the attacking trio of Rasmus Hojlund, Amad Diallo and Mason Mount.
The 21-year-old was kept on the bench for 70 minutes while the Red Devils were desperate for a goal, much to the dismay of a large section of the fans and pundits.
Garnacho only earned 20 minutes on the pitch, but he almost pulled off the equalise with a low shot, it it wasn’t for Guglielmo Vicario’s superb save.
In the end, Tottenham survived to beat United 2-1, and salvage their miserable campaign by earning a Champions League spot, while there wasn’t any consolation for the Reds.

After the contest, Garnacho expressed his great disappointment and dissatisfaction with the whole situation, and according to Romano, several factors suggest that the player is heading towards the exit door.
As the Italian journalist explained in the latest video on his official YouTube channel, the relationship between United and Garnacho had already taken a blow in January when the youngster was close to joining Napoli.
Garnacho’s agent also negotiated with Chelsea at one point, but a transfer never materialised due to financial reasons.
Nevertheless, Romano believes the situation could be different in the summer, especially with Matheus Cunha on the verge of finalising his transfer to Old Trafford.
The transfer market expert also reiterates the club’s desire to sign another attacking midfielder alongside the Wolves star, but in order to do so, Garnacho will have to be sacrificed.
Hence, Romano expects the Argentina international to be one of the players leaving the club this summer, especially if United were to receive a decent offer.
Garnacho started his career at Atletico Madrid before being poached by Man United in 2020. He made his big breakthrough under Erik ten Hag, but never found the same understanding with Amorim.
