Liverpool will not be signing Patson Daka this summer transfer window as the attacker is off to Leicester City, in what has been a quickly developing story.
The Reds have been heavily linked with Daka this summer and you can understand why with the club looking for a new forward and the attacker enjoying a really strong season for Red Bull Salzburg last year.
However, he’s not going to be heading to Merseyside any time soon with Leicester City appearing to win the race, as per Fabrizio Romano:
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
It’s going to be exciting to see Daka in the Premier League, even if it’s not at Liverpool.
He had a great campaign last year at Salzburg but, of course, the top flight in this country is several levels above that.
Even so, he looks a real livewire in the final third and it would not be the first time that Leicester have aced a transfer so we’ll just have to see how he gets on with the Foxes.
In the meantime, Liverpool continue to be linked with attackers and we’ll have to wait to find out if one will arrive.
