Fabrizio Romano clarifies Chelsea rumours and reveals his ‘feeling’ regarding outcome of Donnarumma saga | OneFootball

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that he believes Gianluigi Donnarumma will extend his contract and stay at AC Milan.

Calciomercato.com wrote yesterday that Milan have not only shown willingness to increase Donnarumma’s net salary to €8m per season, but they also opened up to the idea of a two-year “bridge contract” to avoid the possibility of farewell on a free transfer, but so far there has been no agreement reached.

However, Elliott Management have a project which has been strengthened in certain principles by the global economic crisis that has also heavily affected the world of football and which requires a reflection on its costs. That means that they are not willing to raise the current offer on the table, which has not yet been responded to by Donnarumma.

According to what Fabrizio Romano has told @podcastherewego, there is nothing in the rumours linking him with a move to Chelsea, while a renewal with Milan still appears the most obvious outcome.

“At the moment, between Chelsea and Donnarumma there is nothing. I still have the feeling that Donnarumma will stay at Milan and extend his contract,” he said (via R1F).
