“Juventus are a club that always want to win. We are at the same level regarding projects, as we both want to bring in young players to develop and create something important for the future,” Fabregas told Sky Sport via TMW.

Juventus welcomed four new players in the January transfer window, but their coach, Thiago Motta, has been under pressure due to inconsistent results in the first part of the campaign.

“Juventus have a strong coach. When you analyse their matches, you can see that he is a coach with ideas, who studies the games, and who wants to hurt opponents with his approach on the field,” Fabregas insisted.

“He has a strong game philosophy, but whether it translates well on the pitch also depends on the quality of the players. Sometimes, tactically, everything goes perfectly in a match, but then a player might make a poor cross that ends up on the second floor of a house in Como, or maybe a header goes exactly where it needs to…”

This is Fabregas’ first season as a coach in Serie A. Como appointed him in the second part of 2023-24 and the ex-midfielder led the Azzurri to promotion from Serie B, joining Osian Roberts on the bench while waiting to get his coaching badges.

“I have grown a lot. I remember who I was a year and a half ago, how I talked about football, and how I do it now,” he admitted.

“I have improved incredibly. I have also understood what Serie A truly is. It’s a different world and a different level. I talk to many people who help me understand a lot of things. For example, I spoke with Italiano, and he asked me a question that really made me think. I still have a lot to improve.”

Fabregas’ Como are fighting for survival in Serie A this season as they are just two points above the relegation zone.
