Cesc Fábregas hadn't even earned his full coaching licence before the beginning of this season.

Yet now, after 22 games in charge of a top flight Italian club – a promotion that he played a huge part in earning – minnows Como have earned 22 points and sit in 13th place in the league.

Many newly-promoted Serie A clubs have fallen straight back into the second tier, but it seems like Fábregas has already done a lot of the work to avoid this fate.

At the weekend, Como went 1-0 up against third-placed Atalanta, a side that won the Europa League last summer.

They ultimately succumbed to a 2-1 defeat, but in that loss, the coach delivered an inspiring message to his players.

A bright future ahead for the 37-year-old boss and his side?
