Fulham are increasingly fearing that Fabio Carvalho has already agreed a move away from the club.

A report from Teamtalk suggests that the 19-year old has received interest from multiple Premier League clubs such as Tottenham and Liverpool.

Talks over a new contract with Carvalho have stalled in recent months, with his existing deal set to expire at the end of next season.

Carvalho broke through the Fulham side during their Premier League stint last season, appearing in four games.

This season he has continued to impress as Fulham attempt to go straight back up to the top flight. He has made 14 Championship appearances, scoring four times and earning one assist.

Marco Silva’s side are second in the division, only one away from league leaders Bournemouth. Fulham also have a game in hand on their automatic promotion rivals.

Blackburn Rovers are two points behind while also having played a game more.

Fulham won their most recent league game with the hammering of Reading, it finished a comfortable 7-0.

Their next fixture comes at Craven Cottage against Bristol City on January 15.

The Verdict

Fulham will be hoping their league position will help in their negotiations over a new contract. With 18-months still left on his current deal, there is still time for an agreement to be made.

However, Carvalho ultimately has the greatest bargaining position. Fulham will be left with very little choice but to cash-in on the player in the Summer if he continues to turn down a new contract.

Even if Fulham can secure Premier League football for next season, it will still be hard for Carvalho to turn down the chance to play for the likes of Liverpool or Tottenham if one of those clubs comes calling.
