The FA Women’s National League Cup Determining Round saw Notts County and Stockport County win on penalties, while Newcastle United knocked out Burnley.
Charlotte Tyers had Chorley ahead at Fylde, but the higher division hosts turned it around with late goals from Cath Hamill and Beth Strutton.
Notts County progressed on penalties at Chester le Street, the Magpies with an 89th equaliser from Emily Brett before they survived extra-time with 10 players due to injury.
Newcastle United avoided a shoot-out with Burnley, with Becky Ferguson grabbing the decider two minutes from the end of extra time.
Ipswich Town had to twice come from behind with Summer Hughes equalisers, before seeing off Billericay Town 4-2.
Plymouth Argyle’s Ellie Sara struck a ten-minute hat-trick to set up a 4-1 Devon derby victory at Exeter City.
Worthing made a winning debut with a first-half treble from Samantha Quayle at Portishead.
Peterborough United were pegged back to 2-2 at Barnsley in the 90th minute but Rosie Axten grabbed a winner for the Posh.
Portsmouth put 11 past Ashford Town, as did Wolves against Doncaster despite the Belles having pulled it back to 2-1 after 52 minutes.
