Manchester United fans will not be in attendance at the Molineux on the final day of the season

According to Sky Sports, the FA have made a decision that will prevent Manchester United fans from seeing their team off on the final day of the season.

Up to 10,000 fans will be allowed into matches to be held on matchdays 37 and 38, provided the government goes ahead with the planned easing of coronavirus restrictions on May 17.

However, in the case that the plan goes ahead, away fans will not be a part of the conversation.

The FA’s decision has been influenced by both logistical and security concerns. While it may not be ideal, this does lay the foundations for us to return to full capacity for the 2021/22 season.

The government is set to announce whether or not restrictions will be eased by May 10. The Premier League rescheduled the penultimate round of fixtures to midweek so all clubs could welcome fans back into the fold after what has been a difficult season.

That comes as a blessing for United, who will travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on the final day of the season. Our penultimate game is against Fulham on 19th May and it will be good to see the Red Devils faithful back at the Theatre of Dreams.

United fans will however be in attendance if the club makes it top the Europa League final. Of the 9500 seats made available, 6000 have been allocated for supporters. However, only 2000 will be given to each team, with the rest being put on general sale.

The Red Devils hold a four-goal first-leg lead over AS Roma ahead of the return fixture this week.
