Manchester City and Teesside Sport had away wins on penalties in the FA Girls’ Youth Cup 1st Round on Saturday 24 September.

Manchester City went through 4-2 on penalties at Sunderland, after Sofia Wilby netted twice for them as six goals were shared in normal time.

Alexandra Pennock got Teesside Sport’s goal as they finished 1-1 at York City, before progressing on sudden-death penalties.

Durham edged out Everton with the odd goal in seven, Aston Villa held off a fightback from Bristol City who made a tense finale at 3-2 after earlier trailing by three goals.

Brighton overcame a half-time deficit to defeat Southampton 2-1, with Olivia Johnson and Elliana Martin on target.

Doncaster Rovers Belles substitute Emmie King grabbed a last-minute winner at Derby County, West Brom got the only goal at Everton, as did MK Dons against Charlton.

Blackburn’s Macy Settle bagged a first-half brace as they led 2-1 at Stoke City at half-time, going on to complete her hat-trick in a 5-1 results for Rovers.

Sheffield United scored twice in either half to record a 4-1 win at Liverpool, Manchester United’s Tamira Livingston notched a treble in a similar scoreline against Leeds.
