Clubs from League One and League Two enter the competition and join the 32 non-League teams left
The draw for the first round of the FA Cup was held on Monday night, throwing up a clash between AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons as the pick of the ties.
The bitter rivals faced off in League Two last month and Johnnie Jackson’s side cruised to victory on home soil, and they will hope to do the same in the FA Cup when they make the trip to face MK Dons.
This round sees the 48 EFL clubs from League One and League Two enter the competition and join the 32 non-League teams remaining from the qualifying rounds.
Eighth-tier Hednesford Town, who play in the Northern Premier League Division One West, are the lowest ranked club left in the FA Cup after they held National League Gateshead to a 1-1 draw to earn a fourth qualifying round replay.
Should they come through that match, they will host either Gainsborough Trinity or Boston in the first round.
Ties are due to take place between Friday, November 1 and Monday, November 4.
