Ah, the magic of the FA Cup. There’s nothing quite like it in English football.

After another exciting weekend of action, it is time to hand out our awards.

The Straight Outta Hollywood Award

It was an FA Cup tie that had absolutely everything – aside, perhaps, from the fairytale ending. But hey, at least we have a sequel thanks to the late twist!

The Brighton Bargain Award

Brighton’s list of brilliant bits of low-cost transfer business is extensive but the £2.5m they paid Kawasaki Frontale for Kaoru Mitoma paid for itself with this one glorious goal to send holders Liverpool packing in the last minute.

The Staying Professional Award

Fair play to this photographer, who made sure that he got the snaps he required before enjoying the moment of Grimsby’s goal.

The Welcome to Wrexham Award

This was cup football at its finest. Ryan Reynolds has officially been placed under its spell.

The King of the Cup Award

The Leicester striker absolutely loves this competition.

The Insult to Injury Award

That is just cruel Arnaut, who made it a memorable Tottenham debut with his goal at Preston.

The Go Fourth Award

This round of the competition is fast becoming a graveyard for defending champions.

The Slick Skills Award

Absolutely sublime from Patrick Bamford. The drag, the nutmeg. Pure poetry.

The 20/20 Vision Award

Speaking of superb assists, these images are evidence of just how much work Antony had to do to find his compatriot, who knew where to direct the praise.

The Scotty 2 Hotty Award

Quite why this Leeds fan recreated an iconic WWE moment from the ’90s after the win at Accrington, we don’t know. But we’re here for it.

The (Un)Lucky Lewis Award

Whatever the end of the park or the competition, the Brighton defender has an odd habit of netting in this fixture.

The Stats Don’t Lie Award

How on earth did Wrexham lose that one?

The Sit Down Award

Manchester rockers James would have been proud of this one as Tom Cairney sent not one but two Sunderland players sprawling en route to earning Fulham a replay at the Stadium of Light.

The Long Time Coming Award

Granted they haven’t played every year but it has still been a lengthy wait for City to eliminate Arsenal from the FA Cup.
