The English FA have announced the inaugural edition of a four-team women’s tournament.

In a statement released on Thursday, the FA confirmed England will compete in the invitational competition annually, along with three other “world class” nations.

The first edition of the tournament will take place in February 2022 and include Germany and Spain. The fourth team is yet to be announced.

Fans will see three sets of double-headers played across seven days in a round robin format.
