West Ham and Burnley have joined the Premier League hunt to sign Olympique Lyonnais winger Bertrand Traore, Football Insider understands.

The Ligue 1 side are willing to sell the 24-year-old this summer, three years after he left England and Chelsea to move to France.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that the Irons and the Clarets are both interested in doing a deal for the attacker as they look to bolster their front lines this summer.

Top-flight rivals Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are among the other clubs that have been linked with Traore during the summer transfer window.

Scottish agent and intermediary Paul Tait has been given the UK mandate by Lyon to find buyers for the 52-cap star after his fall down the pecking order in Lyon.

Traore was a standout performer in his first season at the French outfit as he scored 18 goals and chipped in with a further seven assists across all competitions.

Having fired Lyon to the Champions League, he went on to hit double digits again with 11 strikes to his name in the next campaign but fell out of favour last term.

He made just 14 Ligue 1 starts and managed to score just once in the French top-flight as the club finished seventh and outside the European spots.

Lyon are now willing to cash in on the attacker, with his current contract set to run for another two years, and interest is building among Premier League sides.

He already has 10 top-flight appearances and two goals under his belt in England after a four-year spell at Chelsea.

Traore also spent time on loan at Dutch outfits Vitesse Arnhem and Ajax during his time at Stamford Bridge.
