Alan Sheehan’s side have enjoyed a positive start to the 2025/26 campaign, picking up seven points from their opening four games as well as progressing through the opening rounds of the Carabao Cup.

The Swans have added nine new players to their ranks in the summer window but are still looking to get more business done before the window slams shut on September 1.

FLW has been told that Swansea are actively pursuing a temporary move for Rak-Sakyi, who spent last season on loan at fellow Championship side Sheffield United.

It has been reported by journalist Alan Nixon via his Patreon that Leicester City are also eyeing up a move for the 22-year-old, should Ghanaian star Abdul Fatawu depart the King Power Stadium late in the day.

Rak-Sakyi made 34 Championship appearances for the Blades last season, scoring seven goals and providing two assists en route to the play-off final.

The young forward struggled to fully establish himself in Chris Wilder’s team however, seeing himself in and out of the starting 11, which limited his overall impact on the Steel City side's performances.

The 22-year-old's best professional campaign came on loan at Charlton Athletic, when he netted 15 times and assisted another eight goals in League One.

Swansea have been focusing on bolstering their frontline during the final stages of the summer window, and have agreed a £7m deal for Celtic striker Adam Idah, according to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph via X.

The Welsh side have scored more than once on just a single occasion in the Championship this season, which highlights their need for more creative operators to boost their offensive options.

Sheehan’s 4-2-3-1 system utilises wide players and would perfectly accommodate Rak-Sakyi’s tricky, energetic style, allowing him the opportunity to produce the performances he previously enjoyed at the Valley.

Rak-Sakyi made the bench for Palace's stalemate away to Chelsea and then the Eagles' first-ever competitive European match against Norwegian side Fredrikstad. The 22-year-old has a contract at Selhurst Park until 2027, but it seems unlikely that he has a role in Oliver Glasner’s plans.
