One exclusive report claims this weekend that a Chelsea player is set for a salary increase just months after joining the club.

The Daily Star exclusive report says Cole Palmer is set for a bumper pay rise at Chelsea.

The England international only joined the Blues last summer on a seven-year deal worth £75,000 a week following a £42.5million move from Manchester City. The Chelsea owners are now set to reward his top form by handing him a significantly improved contract and salary.

Palmer, 21, can expect to pocket nearer £150k a week next season, per the report, which will put him on par with some of the other higher earners in this squad.

He has been absolutely superb since he arrived at the club, and he is on course to win Chelsea’s player of the season award without too much competition for it at all at the moment.

If this report is true, it looks like Chelsea want to make sure he feels valued and secure him to the club for years to come.
