Salford City, Walsall and Swindon Town are EFL sides chasing a deal to sign Alex Babos following his impressive start to life with Banbury United, sources have exclusively told Football League World.

Babos has previously been on the books with Derby County, but never made the grade with the Rams despite captaining their U21s.

The attacking midfielder had loans with FC United and in Spain with Real Union prior to his release. He’s subsequently ended up with Banbury at non-league level.

Football League World understand that the 23-year-old’s impressive form in 2021 is catching the eye of EFL sides, though.

It’s been explained by sources that Salford City, Walsall and Swindon are all chasing the former Wales youth international’s signature heading into the winter.

Swindon currently sit seventh in the League Two table, whilst Salford and Walsall have struggled through the opening third of the season and sit in mid-table.
