On Tuesday, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski finally got his hands on an award he’s been after for his whole career – the European Golden Shoe.
Lewandowski broke the legendary Gerd Müller’s single-season scoring record with 41 goals in the Bundesliga last season, meaning he comfortably outscored the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in 2020/21.
