An exclusive report has this afternoon put out the four centre back targets that Chelsea are currently looking at to replace the soon to be departing Thiago Silva.

It’s expected now that the Brazilian international will be leaving the club when his contract runs out at the end of this season, and that means that Chelsea will be looking to find a suitable replacement for him.

Our colleagues at Caught Offside believe they have four of the names on the list being looked at to replace the veteran legend.

Those names are Ousmane Diomande, Piero Hincapie, Leny Yoro and Jean-Clair Todibo. Incredibly, we are looking at all young and promising players here, none of whom should be considered as a Silva replacement. None of them have proven experience, especially not in the Premier League. Some very good prospects, sure, but they wont replace the experience that Silva brings and we will continue to just see the same consistent issues we have had so far with our squad build – it has not been made for the here and the now.
