Kevin Campbell is incensed by the actions of Leeds United wide-man Ezgjan Alioski on Saturday.
The former Arsenal and West Brom striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed the 28-year-old “went down as if he’d been given a right hook by Mike Tyson” after an altercation with Nicolas Pepe.
Pepe was adjudged to have headbutted Alioski and was sent off shortly after the interval of Arsenal’s 0-0 draw at Elland Road.
The reaction of Alioski caused a frenzy to break out between the two sides at the final whistle with Kieran Tierney and Granit Xhaka heavily involved.
The straight red, which Pepe has since apologised for on social media, will rule him out of fixtures against Tottenham, Wolves and Burnley.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Alioski’s reaction to Pepe’s headbutt, Campbell said: “I do not like it at all. I really don’t.
“He was hardly touched and he went down as if he had been given a right hook by Mike Tyson. It is not right, it is all for the camera.
“When the referee goes over to the monitor it looks the business.
“Was there contact made? Yes, so the referee is going to send you off.
“Pepe cannot do that. He could have pushed him in his chest but as soon as you bring your head into it you are in trouble.”
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that European club expected to trigger clause to sign 28-yr-old with ‘no future at Elland Road’.
