The north-west League One club have been alerted to the potential availability of a player who did not make a single senior appearance for Everton 2019-20.

They are looking to strengthen their ranks in central midfield, which is the preferred playing position of the young Toffee.

He was a regular in the matchday squad after the lockdown and was on the bench for eight of the last nine Premier League matches of the season.

The likes of Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph and Tom Davies are ahead of the Goodison academy product in the central midfield reckoning.

Ancelotti could also call upon hardly-seen 2019 summer recruit Jean-Philippe Gbamin when the new season begins.

Baningime has a contract at Goodison that runs for two more years until the summer of 2022.

He has made 12 first-team appearances in total for his parent club and came close to a transfer to Brondby last summer before the deal collapsed at the eleventh hour.
