Napoli striker Giacomo Raspadori has recently emerged as a target for Lazio, but he has no intention to leave the Stadio Maradona just yet.
The 24-year-old has been a Partenopei player since making the move from Sassuolo in the summer of 2022. Nevertheless, he has been on the bench more often than not, and some had expected him to leave the club in January.
Nevertheless, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s mid-season departure, combined with Napoli’s failure to find a competent replacement, played to Raspadori’s advantage. The versatile attacker had an instrumental role in Antonio Conte’s plans during the second half of the season, and went on to lift his second Scudetto title.
In recent weeks, we told you about Lazio’s interest in the Euro 2020 winner, as Maurizio Sarri feels he would seamlessly fit into his plans. While the Biancocelesti have reflected on the idea, they haven’t launched any talks on this front. Meanwhile, Napoli’s asking price starts at €30 million.
For now, we can confirm that Raspadori isn’t willing to negotiate an exit, as he intends to stay with the Parteneopei. However, we still have a long way to go until the end of the summer transfer market, so many factors could change between now and then.
