Rangers legend Ian Ferguson, a well-respected regular on Rangers TV these days and of course manager Down Under, believes Rangers aren’t completely out of the title hunt, but it will take a massive turnaround and the right manager.

Speaking exclusively to Ibrox Noise and Lucky Block, the 9IAR star had a few words to say about Rangers’ travails.

“Hopefully the new man who comes in finds a way with this squad and finds it quickly.”

You can say that again mate!

“There’s still a lot to play for – 31 games to go. We’re seven points behind, three Old Firm games to play. We can’t afford to lose another point before we play Celtic – simple as that.”

Goes without saying indeed.

“If that happens, we get to the Celtic game and get a result, then who knows what can happen? We’ve silverware coming up, a semi-final against Hearts that could steady the ship.”

It’s an optimistic stance in fairness, but nothing wrong with a little spot of positivity.

“That’s down to Steven and Alex to hopefully get us there and some silverware which would be appreciated by a lot of people.”

It certainly would, but if Rangers can’t beat Aberdeen or Aris, we must admit our hopes on Ibrox Noise of such an achievement are a spot more modest than Ferguson’s are.

Ferguson, who’s maybe a tiny spot out of touch down in Oz the past decade or so, just wants a successful Rangers, and he thinks the club still has a slim chance this season.

Ibrox Noise, sadly, cannot agree with his stance, and most fans won’t either.

The ex-boss absolutely obliterated Rangers and set the club back 5 years.

Not sure how any of that can be resolved in the next few weeks.
