Lazio are making progress in their attempts to lure Lorenzo Insigne to the Italian capital, as the player is willing to make important sacrifices.
The Aquile cannot sign any new players this summer due to their transfer ban, but if they manage to lift it in the following months, they’ll be able to bring in free agents, even if the market is closed. Therefore, Maurizio Sarri has set his sights on his old Napoli ally, Insigne, who is currently unattached after recently ending his three-year spell at Toronto FC.

In recent weeks, the 34-year-old has been emerging as an increasingly plausible option for the Biancocelesti. As we told you a few days ago, Insigne would be ready to accept a pay cut to reunite with Sarri. The winger has other proposals from Udinese and Parma, but he considers Lazio his favorite destination, or at least this is how things stand at the moment.
Moreover, it appears that Inisgne would be ready to wait until January if the circumstances prevent him from signing for Lazio earlier. If the player’s stance is to be confirmed with time, it would be of great importance, bringing the Euro 2020 winner ever closer to Formello.
