Fiorentina have wrapped up the signing of Roberto Piccoli but the market almost certainly does not end here for La Viola. In fact, there is concrete interest in right-back Tariq Lamptey, the Ghanaian born in 2000, who came through at Chelsea and is currently at Brighton with a contract that is running down.
Lamptey has also been sounded out by a couple of other clubs but Fiorentina are moving forward – he could be the ideal backup for Dodo.

Though not physically imposing, Lamptey brings great speed, good technique and supports the team well with his runs down the right flank. If needed, he can also slot in on the left. Very soon, Fiorentina will make a decision on Niccolo Fortini, who has several offers on the table both from Serie A and Serie B.
Luca Puccinelli is an agent, not one of the biggest on the scene, but in just a few weeks he has managed to strike a four-of-a-kind deal with Urbano Cairo at Torino. With the arrival of Kristjan Asllani, he really did complete the poker. Let me break down the moves (some of which we had already anticipated): coach Marco Baroni, defender Ardian Ismajli, midfielder Tino Anjorin and now playmaker Asllani.

It is an unusual situation but one that deserves to be reported for the record. Now, the hope for the ever-patient Torino faithful is that Cairo can guide the club to a European place – that would be something. A scenario that would also justify the, up to now, anonymous presence of sporting director Vagnati, who remains light-years away in terms of transfer market substance compared to his predecessor.
