Dean Windass has exclusively told Football FanCast that another top season for Kalvin Phillips could see him leave Leeds next summer.

The 25-year-old, who made his England debut before he’d played a minute in the Premier League, has become a vital cog for Marcelo Bielsa’s machine in recent seasons.

Such is Phillips’ on the ball qualities and ability to get around the pitch with a matter of ease, he’s quickly made himself a key part of Gareth Southgate’s England team and started all seven matches at the Euros.

His performances on the international stage have led to the Leeds midfielder being linked with a move away from Elland Road this window, with Serie A giants Juventus reportedly showing interest.

However, whilst Transfermarkt value Phillips at just £36m, it’ll take a considerably bigger offer to prise the boyhood Leeds fan away from south Yorkshire before next month’s deadline.

But whilst Phillips leaving this summer seems a longshot, Windass told Football FanCast that another impressive campaign for Leeds could soon see doubts over his future emerge.

“Kalvin Phillips was one of the plusses at Euro 2020. Being a local boy for Leeds, if he has a wonderful season, he won’t be at Leeds United, the big hitters will come calling.”
