After retiring from playing, the former right-back returned to Los Che as a coach in 2014.

It was the start of a three-year stint in charge of Valencia B.

Nuno also joined Valencia in 2014, as first-team manager, and spent almost 18 months at Mestalla.

The Portuguese has since gone on to achieve remarkable success with Wolves.

The Black Country outfit were in the Championship when Nuno took charge.

They won promotion in his first season in charge, and have managed to finish seventh in the Premier League in their last two seasons.

Having worked with Nuno closely, Torres is not surprised with how his career has turned out.

"I had a very good relationship working with Nuno and very respectful too," Torres told TribalFootball.com.

"He is a hard-working manager who knows what he wants. I'm not at all surprised that he has been successful at Wolves."

The 47-year-old is being considered as a potential candidate to replace Jose Mourinho at Tottenham, according to the Express.
