Coventry City midfielder Gustavo Hamer continues to emerge as a target for Celtic and Rangers, Football League World understands.
Hamer has impressed in the Championship this season under Mark Robins.
The midfielder has scored twice and assisted a further six goals in 27 Championship appearances this season, but as his contract reaches a stick or twist moment with 18 months left to run, opportunities lurk.
Sources have explained to Football League World that Celtic and Rangers continue to show an interest in the 24-year-old.
Rangers were first linked back in the summer, but sources have outlined how Hamer is emerging as a target once more as the summer comes into focus.
There is likely to be rival interest from current Premier League sides, with Brentford, Leeds United and Norwich City all keeping tabs on the situation. Although, that trio are all threatened with relegation back into the Championship this season.

Hamer started his career with Feyenoord and since played for PEC Zwolle, before making the move to Coventry back in 2020.
In all competitions, Hamer has made 73 appearances for the Sky Blues, shining for Robins as he continues to establish Coventry back in the second-tier of English football.
It’s previously been reported by the Coventry Telegraph that the club are looking to tie Hamer down to a new contract.
