Barnsley, Charlton Athletic, and Leyton Orient are all keen on Bolton Wanderers midfielder Kieran Sadlier, sources have exclusively informed Football League World.

The 28-year-old signed for the League One club from Rotherham United last January but has found himself down the pecking order at the UniBol this term.

Though he’s featured 27 times in all competitions for Ian Evatt’s side, Sadlier has played less than 1,000 minutes of football in 2022/23 and could now be set to leave the North West club this month.

Sources have informed FLW that Sadlier is attracting attention from other EFL clubs in the form of third tier duo Barnsley and Charlton and League Two high-flyers Leyton Orient.

FLW understands, however, that Bolton are not too keen on doing a deal with direct play-off rivals for the attack-minded midfielder, which looks to give Orient the advantage in the potential chase.

Sadlier signed a two-and-a-half-year deal when he joined the Trotters last January, which means he’s under contract with the North West club until the summer of 2024.

The former West Ham United academy player enjoyed a number of eye-catching seasons in the Irish Premier Division early on in his career before sealing a move to Doncaster Rovers.

A strong showing for Rovers was enough to seal a move to Rotherham and then on to Bolton but he has struggled to cement a regular place in the starting XI under Evatt.
