When some of the continent’s best young players come up for grabs, Arsenal have to make sure they’re in the conversation, and CaughtOffside sources have advanced that the Gunners have their eye on a super Bayern Munich ace.
Of course, if a genuine talent becomes available, the best European teams will always be sniffing around and sources also indicated that Liverpool and Man City are taken a keen interest in the development of 18-year-old German midfielder Paul Wanner.
Arsenal have been brilliant in the Champions League and are really starting to push on under Mikel Arteta.
It therefore stands to reason that players would consider the Emirates Stadium as a potential future destination.
Wanner’s primary focus is on securing regular playing time, which is crucial for his development at this stage of his career, with Bayern currently loaning him out to fellow Bundesliga outfit, Heidenheim.
German football journalist, Maximilian Koch, writing on X, has suggested that Bayern want Florian Wirtz next summer which would potentially allow a sale of Wanner to be eased through.
Arteta has certainly shown his willingness to depend on youth, with recent appearances from 17-year-old’s Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri giving Gunners fans a glimpse into the future.

Scouts from all three Premier League clubs have been present at Heidenheim’s recent matches against Freiburg and Mainz according to reliable sources, and it’s understood that none were left disappointed by Wanner’s performances even though he was subbed off before the end of both.
Despite the interest from England, Bayern Munich have no plans to sell Wanner in the near future as his contract with Bayern runs until 2027, though sources understand that this hasn’t deterred Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City from considering a future move.
If Bayern Munich do decide to loan him out again, Wanner might be hesitant to extend his contract with the club.
It’s understood that the midfielder just wants to find a team where he can play consistently and continue his growth.
