“We believe Salah will add real quality, both on and off the pitch. He has a strong mentality and an eye for goal, which are two things we could use.

“Salah is making big steps in his return from injury, which is why both clubs agreed it would be a good step to take. He is a player that we feel could be decisive in crucial moments throughout the season.”

Salah-Eddine Oulad M’hand also revealed that his choice to move was thoroughly considered. “The step to FC Den Bosch is a conscious choice,” he said.

“I want to become 100% fit here in a trusted environment. I want to pay back the trust I’ve been given with performances on the pitch. I’ve spoken to Yousuf, who I already knew, and the manager.

“They told me what FC Den Bosch stands for currently. Their values, on and off the pitch, fit me well. As a person, but also as a player. I’m a creative midfielder that also stands his ground defensively. I’m looking forward to being on the pitch here!”

Salah left the youth setup of Feyenoord at the age of 16 to join Arsenal’s training academy.

Over the years, he has intermittently featured in Arsenal’s first-team selections for both Premier League and domestic cup competitions. Furthermore, he has also participated in several friendlies for the club.

Given that Arsenal have a rich history of nurturing young talent, the loan is both practical and strategic, especially considering that Salah is making significant strides in his recovery from injury.

The season-long stint at FC Den Bosch will afford him the much-needed game time, a crucial factor in player development.

FC Den Bosch’s Yousuf Sajjad indicated that Salah is a player with the potential to be a game-changer at pivotal moments throughout the season.
