Tottenham Hotspur orchestrated a smash and grab against Liverpool on Saturday night, leaving Anfield with a point to show for their efforts.
A trip to Merseyside is never easy and Jurgen Klopp’s side has us under pressure from the kickoff whistle. The Reds launched wave upon wave of attacks but thankfully the Spurs’ defence held firm.
Anytime they got behind us, skipper Hugo Lloris proved his worth as a reliable last line of defence. All in all, while Liverpool admittedly dominated the game, Tottenham showed heart and determination and were prepared to fight for every inch.
Antonio Conte could have engineered the brilliant robbery had we held on to Son Heung-min’s 56th-minute goal. The South Korean stunned Anfield with a well-taken strike that was engineered by Ryan Sessegnon.
Liverpool eventually drew level after a Luis Diaz shot deflected off a Spurs player to beat Lloris. Both sides had chances to win it but eventually settled for a point. Anfield is not an easy place to go to and the point could prove pivotal in our efforts to finish in the top four

All eyes will now be on the North London Derby in midweek. Whether the draw tonight has far-reaching consequences remains to be seen. The difference between the sides was clearly visible and Tottenham have a long way to go before they can compete on even terms. For now, we will take the point.
For now, we look at how Spurs fans reacted to the result on Twitter.
@SpursOfficial 2 draws against Liverpool this season - and we should've won both. Unlucky AF. COYS 💙–
