Marko Arnautovic and Stefan de Vrij will make their returns to training for Inter Milan, whilst Juan Cuadrado is also nearing a return.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Tomorrow Inter will be back in training after two days rest following their Serie A win over Empoli on Monday.
And according to the Gazzetta, there will be a couple of players back in training.
There were two notable absentees from the Inter squad on Monday.
One was striker Arnautovic. The former West Ham United striker was out with a thigh injury that he had picked up in a Serie A match against his old team Bologna last month.
That injury has kept the Austrian on the sidelines for around a month.
But Arnautovic’s recovery process has been going just about according to plan.
The Gazzetta report that the 34-year-old should be ready to return to training tomorrow. There is no doubt that he will be available for Inter’s next match, next Monday against Udinese.
That is also true of former Lazio and Feyenoord defender de Vrij.
The Dutchman missed the Empoli match due to a muscle problem that he picked up during the international break.
But de Vrij has completed his recovery from the injury. Therefore, he will be able to be bolster the squad depth for the match against Udinese as well.
One player who will not be coming back for the match against Udinese is Cuadrado.
The veteran former Juventus and Chelsea wingback is still putting the finishing touches on his recovery process from surgery that he underwent on his calf in December.
However, Cuadrado is close to returning to training.
The Colombian should be back in the next week or so. That means that he will be in the squad to face Cagliari, which will be his first match for Inter in over three months.
