Sevilla’s Julen Lopetegui and Mainz boss Bo Svensson are the top two targets for the Wolves job, according to John Percy of the Telegraph.
It was believed that former Olympiacos boss Pedro Martins was on the shortlist, but the report suggests that the Portuguese manager is not under consideration at this point.
Lopetegui is believed to be on thin ice at Sevilla, with his side yet to win a game this season, and it’s been suggested that he was wanted by Wolves owners Fosun when they first took control of the club back in 2016.
Meanwhile Svensson, a former Denmark centreback, took Mainz to an impressive eighth-place finish in the Bundesliga last season.
Wolves sacked Bruno Lage on Sunday after defeat to West Ham United on Sunday left the side in the bottom three of the Premier League table.
