Inter forward Joaquin Correa is the favourite to start alongside Romelu Lukaku in attack in Sunday afternoon’s Serie A match against Lazio.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old is favoured over fellow Argentine Lautaro Martinez to be in the Nerazzurri’s starting eleven.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will have no shortage of selection decisions to make for Sunday afternoon’s match, with the coach potentially rotating the team all over the pitch but at the same time looking to maintain a strong enough team to take three vital points against a very strong Lazio team.

The Nerazzurri coach is likely to give the nod to Lukaku in attack, considering that the Belgian had been rested from the start against Juventus during the week and should be fresh.

However, it is not yet certain that there will be a complete changeover of the attacking pair, and Martinez could instead keep his place from the Coppa Italia match against the Bianconeri.

According to Sky, however, it is likely to be the same forward pair as against Empoli last weekend, with Lukaku and Correa both starting.

Correa would be facing his former side in the form of Lazio, having spent three seasons playing for the Biancocelesti after joining from Sevilla in the summer of 2018.

Meanwhile, in midfield Sky report that it is likely that Marcelo Brozovic will come into the Nerazzurri’s starting eleven.

The 30-year-old Croatian international had not been in the starting eleven against Juventus on Wednesday, with Hakan Calhanoglu having started at the base of a midfield trio alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Barella.

According to Sky, it is likely that Mkhitaryan will start on Sunday, but it is not yet certain which out of Calhanoglu or Barella will be given a rest from the start.
