Former Roma midfielder Nemanja Matic is already on the move after leaving the Italian capital less than six months ago.
The Serbian veteran is in fact set for another transfer in France, this time to Olympique Lyonnais following his recent falling out with Rennes – the club which bought him from Roma for a minimal transfer fee last summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Matic experienced a major falling out with Rennes’ management after refusing to play for them anymore due to difficulties in signing up his children to an international school.
As a result, Matic has accepted to move again. His sudden exit from Roma caused a lot of uproar in the capital, leaving former Giallorossi head coach Jose Mourinho puzzled and the club desperately seeking an alternative replacement on extreme short notice. Eventually, Roma secured the signing of Leandro Paredes as Matic’s replacement.
