Ex-Roma man Dean Huijsen recalls rapport with Mourinho: “He took care of me.”

Former Roma defender Dean Huijsen – whose loan in the Italian capital facilitated his permanent deal to Bournemouth from Juventus – reflected on his rapport with Jose Mourinho.

It was the Special One, after all, who had wanted Huijsen at his orders shortly before his sacking from the club.

In an interview with El Chiringuito, Huijsen said of his rapport with Mourinho, “Well, I think he’s one of the best coaches in the world and the history of football.”

“He took care of me and always asked me if I needed anything. He also always told me to ask him if I wanted to go for a tour in Rome or to book a restaurant.”

“When I arrived in Rome I was 18 and with the experience he had he wanted to help me,” said the young Spaniard.
