Two former Roma players are close to teaming up as the leading figures of Serie B side Pisa.
Earlier this month, the club appointed former Giallorossi fullback Aleksandar Kolarov as their new sporting director—his first executive role following his retirement in 2022. Among his first priorities is to find a new manager to guide the team and improve on their mid-table finish this past season.
According to calciomercato.com, Kolarov’s top choice for the role is former Roma midfielder and current Fiorentina Primavera boss Alberto Aquilani. The two sides met recently and are closing in on a two-year contract agreement.
