Former Roma defender Walter Samuel was recently invited to explore the capital club’s training facilities with a special tour organized for one of the protagonists of the Scudetto winning squad from 2001.
The club published photos of Samuel – now 44 years of age and working as the Assistant Coach to Lionel Scaloni for Argentina – visiting Trigoria.

Samuel was photographed posing with a photo of Fabio Capello’s team of 2001 as well as his Roma jersey which he wore between the years 2000 and 2004.
Roma remain the second team in terms of total appearances for the Argentine centre-back (172), only behind Inter (234).
