Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo is being investigated by the figures in charge of discipline in the Saudi Pro League for the 2nd time in the space of mere weeks.

This comes owing to a gesture on the part of the Portuguese during his side’s meeting with Al-Shabab on Sunday.

En route to an eventual 3-2 triumph for Ronaldo and co, during which the veteran frontman opened the scoring, he was subjected to a fresh round of Lionel Messi chants.

As much has become something of a common theme in Al-Nassr’s fixtures of late, as opposing fans attempt to get under Ronaldo’s skin by way of hailing his greatest rival.

And, frequently, such efforts have had precisely the intended effect.

After CR7 was recently heavily criticised for shoving a scarf thrown at him by an Al-Hilal supporter into his shorts, before throwing the article back into the crowd, on Sunday, he lost his cool once more.

After Anderson Talisca bagged what proved to be the winner inside the closing five minutes at Al-Shabab, Ronaldo turned to the home crowd in Riyadh, before gesturing with his hand in and out from his pelvic region.

The act was quickly labelled as rude and even obscene by viewers, with an investigation, as a result, having been opened.

As per Mundo Deportivo, citing Saudi outlet Asharq Al Awsat:

‘The Saudi Football Federation’s disciplinary committee has opened an investigation into the incident and is expected to make a decision on Cristiano Ronaldo  within two days.’
