Daniele Adani made a bold admission about Inter Milan’s rich vein of form following a stuttering start to their Serie A title defense.

In his recent interview with Viva el Futbol via FCInter1908, Adani deemed the high-flying Nerazzurri ‘unplayable.’

Marcus Thuram had a rare night off last Saturday, yet Inter demolished Cagliari 3-0 to make it five league wins on the trot.

Lautaro Martinez, Alessandro Bastoni, and Hakan Calhanoglu got on the scoresheet beyond the halftime interval.

Indeed, their strikes moved Inter within a one-point distance of table-topping Atalanta.

More importantly, it was their fifth consecutive win without conceding.

Following a dominant title run in 2023/24, Simone Inzaghi’s men are seemingly back to their best.

Inzaghi has plugged defensive leaks, turning Inter into a force to be reckoned with.

Daniele Adani Deems Inter Milan ‘Unplayable’

“I believe that in 2024, the Nerazzurri have achieved the same number of victories as Real Madrid, losing only two matches,” Adani said.

“Their results and dominance in our Serie A are on par with top clubs in history, and we must also consider the path they’ve taken.

“It’s a team that consistently improves. Even when they aren’t at their peak, they maintain a distinct style of football.”

Meanwhile, Adani offered his view of Inter’s performance at the Unipol Domus.

After a goalless first half, Inzaghi’s team tore the Islanders apart, posting a fifth successive away win against Davide Nicola’s side.

“In the first half against Cagliari, there might have been some doubts. The second half was far from predictable.

“Defenders played as midfielders and became assist providers, while the forwards shared opportunities with those arriving late in the box.

“It was only a matter of time, understanding how and when they would score. It wasn’t so obvious,” Adani concluded.

Inter will open the new calendar year with a heavyweight Supercoppa Italiana clash against Atalanta.
