Ex-Napoli & Juventus Defender Ciro Ferrara: “Inter The Team To Beat In Scudetto Race” | OneFootball

Legendary former Napoli and Juventus defender Ciro Ferrara believes that Inter are the favourites for the Scudetto.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, he gave the view that the Nerazzurri remain formidable after winning the Serie A title last season, and that they are still the team with the best Scudetto credentials.

Inter started off their Scudetto defense fairly well, but at one point they found themselves behind city rivals AC Milan and Napoli at the top of the table.

However, the gap has been reduced to four points from the Partenopei, and just one from the Rossoneri.

Moreover, the performances have begun to show a certain confidence and control as the Nerazzurri look capable of getting three points from all different types of matches.

Ferrara believes that this demonstrates that Inter have all the quality needed to go on and win the title over the rest of the season.

“Inter are champions and the team to beat,” he stated. “They had stumbled in a few moments, but they could never have been ruled out of the Scudetto race on quality.”

He added that the Nerazzurri are “A different team from last year, with different characteristics, but they can easily fight for the Scudetto again.”
