The Netherlands are seeking to replace Frank de Boer with Louis Van Gaal ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
The former Holland coach, who also managed Bayern Munich and Manchester United in his career, has not worked since leaving United in 2016.

Algemeen Dagblad reports the KNVB have made Van Gaal their primary target as they seek to move on from the De Boer era.
If Van Gaal does accept the offer, he would return to coach Oranje for the third time in his career.
Van Gaal was in charge of the Dutch national team during World Cup 2014.
